Udupi, July 8, 2026: Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), Udupi, organized a Special Talk on “Bleeding Disorders” on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM in Prajna Hall with the objective of creating awareness about bleeding disorders, their symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care.
The resource person for the session, Dr. Sulochana B,(Associate Prof, MCON,MAHE, Manipal) delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the causes and types of bleeding disorders, including inherited and acquired conditions. She explained the importance of early diagnosis, timely medical intervention, and advancements in treatment that significantly improve the quality of life of affected individuals.

During the interactive session, Dr. Sulochana B emphasized the need for public awareness, regular health check-ups, and educating communities to reduce misconceptions surrounding bleeding disorders. She also encouraged students to adopt healthy lifestyles and actively participate in healthcare awareness initiatives.
Faculty members, MBA and MCA students actively participated in the session and engaged in an interactive question-and-answer discussion with the speaker. The programme enhanced participants’ understanding of bleeding disorders and the importance of preventive healthcare.
