India is going through marvelous transformations at this stage. Development in access to education has been remarkable during the 11th Five Year Plan period. Determined growth targets for the 12th Plan by the government.
The youth of the country aspire for a better life, as millions of them enter higher education institutions as first-generation learners, they get exposed to new flora and fauna of thoughts. In addition to education about the subjects they have chosen to study, higher education must inculcate in them a sense of social responsibility.
The young students who enter Institution are active, interested and concerned to make some contributions. Precise leadership and provision by the institutions at this stage can strengthen their ethical and social responsibilities. While many individuals in such institutions have taken innovative efforts, there has not been a suitable established mechanism for encouraging the identical.
It is the view that the Planning Commission has suggested together with ‘nurturing social responsibility’ as a vital part of the strategy for advancing higher education in the 12th Plan. As better public and private investments in higher education take place over the next five years, it is authoritative that the expanding access is to go together with by enhanced quality of education. The products of educational institutions should not only progress their livelihoods and advance their professional opportunities but also become an act as good citizens of the nation.
It is in this context that ‘nurturing social responsibility in higher education’ needs to be placed as an essential pillar of future directions. By educating engagements with the community, institutions of higher education can strengthen the ethics of social responsibility between the youth. Partnerships with communities, civil society need to be encouraged to realize this potential.
The significant challenge in the 21st century for the education professions exist in the concern of educational institutions for better involvement in improving quality education systems performance and people’s Knowledge status. It will be attained, not only by tailoring educational programs to priority by stronger participation in anticipating human resources needs of a nation and in ensuring that graduates are employed where they are most needed delivering the essential services. A new model of excellence for academic institutions is needed, as well as new sets of standards and accreditation mechanisms to promote and evaluate their capacity for a better impact on the system.
To realize this goal and develop such standards in all stakeholders, it has framed the policy on institutional social responsibility it is being decided to Create CSR Club cell at Institution
CSR Club Objectives:

- Confirm Leadership, Community and Team Building Skills in students.
- By providing Public education, creates the Knowledge enrichment of the community.
- Generate sensibility for challenges in society.
- Spread awareness for social responsibility.
