Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), Udupi, celebrated the sacred Sharada Pooja with great devotion and spiritual fervour on Friday, 17 July 2026, at 10.00 a.m. The auspicious ceremony was performed by His Holiness Sri Sri Ishapriya Theertha Swamiji, President of the Poornaprajna Group of Institutions, in the divine presence of faculty members, students, alumni, and distinguished guests.
Sharada Pooja is a unique and cherished tradition at PIM. Every year, before the commencement of the final semester examinations, His Holiness personally performs the pooja for the outgoing MBA and MCA students, invoking the blessings of Goddess Sharada, the Goddess of Knowledge and Wisdom, for their academic success, professional excellence, and bright future. The ceremony signifies the institution’s commitment to integrating spiritual values with academic excellence.
The programme commenced with an invocation seeking the blessings of Goddess Sharada. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, who highlighted the significance of the annual Sharada Pooja and expressed gratitude to His Holiness for continuing this sacred tradition that has become an integral part of the institution’s culture.
The most sacred moment of the programme was the performance of the Sharada Pooja by His Holiness Sri Sri Ishapriya Theertha Swamiji. Students, faculty members, and guests participated in the ceremony with devotion, praying for knowledge, wisdom, humility, and success in all future endeavours.
On the occasion, six institutional publications/books showcasing the academic and research contributions of the institute were formally released by His Holiness. The book release reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting research, innovation, and quality education.
Addressing the gathering, His Holiness blessed the outgoing students and advised them to pursue knowledge with humility, uphold ethical values, and contribute meaningfully to society. He encouraged the students to combine professional excellence with character, integrity, and service throughout their careers.
One of the highlights of the programme was the presentation of Proficiency Prizes to meritorious MBA and MCA students in recognition of their outstanding academic performance and overall achievements. Several endowment awards and special prizes instituted by distinguished donors were presented to deserving students, appreciating excellence in academics, leadership, and all-round performance.
As part of the traditional blessings, His Holiness personally distributed fruits and pens to all the outgoing MBA and MCA students as tokens of his blessings, wishing them success in their forthcoming university examinations and future careers.
The programme was gracefully compered by Ms. Ajna Kramadhari, a second-year MBA student, who conducted the proceedings with poise and confidence. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Sameeksha of the second-year MCA programme, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Holiness, the dignitaries, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and everyone who contributed to making the programme a grand success.
