Report on Interactive Session: Re-Imagining Entrepreneurship through the Lens of the Indian Knowledge System

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), Udupi, under the guidance of IQAC, organized an interactive session on “Re-Imagining Entrepreneurship through the Lens of the Indian Knowledge System.” The session was held on 20th February 2026 at 2:00 PM in Prajna Hall.

The resource person for the session was Dr. Sudhir Raj K, Professor and Director, Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems, Nitte (Deemed to be University). The session aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of entrepreneurship by integrating the principles of the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) with modern entrepreneurial practices.

During the session, Dr. Sudhir Raj K highlighted the significance of India’s rich cultural heritage, ethical values, and indigenous knowledge in fostering innovation, leadership, and sustainable entrepreneurship. He explained how traditional Indian wisdom, when combined with contemporary business strategies, can help create responsible entrepreneurs capable of addressing societal and economic challenges.

The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and raising insightful questions. The resource person shared practical examples and encouraged participants to adopt value-based entrepreneurial approaches that contribute to sustainable development and nation-building.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person for his enlightening session and to the Management, Director, IQAC, faculty members, and students for their enthusiastic participation. The event proved to be informative and inspiring, enriching the participants’ understanding of entrepreneurship from the perspective of the Indian Knowledge System.
