PIM Alumni Association Holds General Body Meeting; New Office Bearers Appointed

The General Body Meeting of the PIM Alumni Association was held on 8 August 2026 in the Discussion Room, Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), Udupi at 9.15 am. The meeting brought together alumni and members of the Association for discussions on its activities, financial affairs and future programmes.

The meeting commenced with the opening remarks by Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director, Poornaprajna Institute of Management, who welcomed the members and highlighted the importance of a vibrant and active alumni association in strengthening the bond between the institution and its alumni.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the alumni present to introduce themselves and reconnect with the Association. The audited financial reports were presented before the General Body and were duly approved by the members. The members also discussed programmes and initiatives proposed for the new academic year, with an emphasis on strengthening alumni participation and enhancing the activities of the Association.

The General Body subsequently proceeded with the appointment of the new office bearers. The newly constituted team is:

The Association’s governing structure also includes His Holiness Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji, President of Sri Admar Mutt, Udupi, as Chairman, along with Dr. G. S. Chandrashekhar, Medical Director, Adarsha Hospital, Udupi, and Sri CA Prashanth Holla, Chartered Accountant, Udupi, as Honorary Presidents.

Following the appointment, the previous President Mr. Umesh Bhadya congratulated the newly appointed President and conveyed his best wishes to him and the new committee. The newly appointed President Dr. Praveen Kumar then addressed the gathering and expressed his commitment to taking the Association forward with the active participation and support of its alumni.

The proceedings of the meeting were coordinated and conducted by Dr. Diana Saldanha, Associate Professor, PIM, who served as the Master of Ceremonies. The faculty members of PIM attended the meeting along with the non-teaching staff.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with members expressing their enthusiasm for renewed alumni engagement and meaningful programmes in the coming academic year. The General Body Meeting was a fruitful and constructive gathering, marking a renewed beginning for the PIM Alumni Association.
