Building Resilient Leaders: Student Well-Being Screening Program at PIM

The Counselling Cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, organized a “Building Resilient Leaders: Student Well-Being Screening Program” on 28th August 2025. The session was led by Ms. Suparna Shetty Manipal, CEO and Founder of Eterna Infotech and MyTrueSkills, who served as the resource person. She was accompanied by Ms. Sahara Asif, Strategy Officer, MyTrueSkills, who was present during the screening and briefing.

The program began with Ms. Neeksha, Class Representative of 1 MBA Section A, serving as the Master of Ceremony, followed by Ms. Shreya, Class Representative of 1 MBA Section B, who introduced the resource person.

As part of the pilot study, a 30-member cohort participated, consisting of 5 male and 5 female students each from 1 MBA Section A, 1 MBA Section B, and 1 MCA. The first layer screening required students to log in and report their mental well-being. To ensure validation, three stakeholders—Dr. Diana Saldanha (MBA Section A), Prof. Venkatesh Shetty (MBA Section B), and Prof. Sneha Radhakrishnan (MCA)—were included as a second layer input to authenticate the findings.

Dr. Diana Saldanha, Faculty Coordinator of the Counselling Cell, presented a memento to the resource person and also proposed the vote of thanks.

Following the screening, the team discussed the first-layer findings with Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director, PIM Udupi. Stakeholder inputs have been consolidated and the comprehensive report will be shared soon.

Students expressed that the process was quick, revelatory, and insightful, helping them understand themselves better while making conversations around mental well-being easier through the use of technology.

This pilot initiative marked a crucial step by the Counselling Cell of PIM, in collaboration with Eterna Infotech and MyTrueSkills (MTS), towards promoting student resilience and holistic well-being.
