As part of the School Extension Programme organized under the CSR Club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), Dr. Diana Saldanha, Assistant Professor, MBA Department, conducted a workshop titled “A Road Map to the Indian Stock Market” for the students of Grades XI and XII of St. Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady on 15th of June 2026.
The workshop was attended by Commerce stream students, as the topic aligns with their academic curriculum and future career interests. Dr. Diana Saldanha introduced the students to the fundamentals of the Indian stock market, explaining how shares are traded, the importance of informed investment decisions, and the principles of responsible investing.
To make the concepts practical and engaging, the session included interactive activities and real-life examples that helped students understand stock market operations in a simple and meaningful manner. The activity-based approach enabled students to connect theoretical concepts with real-world financial practices.
Mrs. Sonia Shetty, faculty member of St. Mary’s English Medium School, introduced the guest speaker and welcomed the participants. The students actively participated in the session, enjoyed the learning experience, and provided positive feedback on the workshop.
In recognition of Dr. Diana Saldanha’s contribution, the Principal, Fr. Vijay Joyson D’Souza, presented a memento on behalf of the school.
