The Placement Cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management-Poornakash organized a special Career Guidance and Awareness Session on 22nd June 2026 at Prajna Hall in collaboration with Vasavi Academy, Bengaluru, and DHI IAS Academy, Delhi. The programme was conducted to create awareness among students regarding Civil Services examinations and the opportunities available through UPSC and KPSC.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Yanisha, who welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, and students. This was followed by an Introduction Speech by Ms. Kavya Tandel, who introduced the guests and highlighted the objectives of the programme.
The event was graced by Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, along with the distinguished resource persons Ms. Kavya A., Founder and Director of DHI IAS Academy, and Mr. Rakesh, Head of Content. The dignitaries shared valuable insights on career opportunities through UPSC and KPSC examinations and motivated students to pursue careers in the civil services.
The motivational session was highly informative and inspiring. The speakers emphasized the values of discipline, consistency, time management, self-confidence, and perseverance as essential qualities for success in competitive examinations. Through real-life examples and experiences, they encouraged students to think ambitiously and work systematically towards meaningful career goals.
One of the major highlights of the programme was the interactive debate activity conducted for students. Participants were invited to the stage and divided into teams to debate the topic “Advantages and Disadvantages of Government Jobs.” The activity encouraged students to express their opinions confidently, develop critical thinking skills, and engage in constructive discussions. The debate generated considerable enthusiasm among the audience and added an interactive dimension to the session.
The programme also featured an engaging question-and-answer session during which students actively interacted with the resource persons and sought guidance on examination preparation strategies, career opportunities, and the challenges associated with civil service careers. The speakers addressed the queries comprehensively, motivating students to pursue their aspirations with confidence and determination.
The event was coordinated by Prof. Shivanand M Bhandarkar and Prof. Venkatesh Shetty of the Placement Cell, whose efforts contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the programme. As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to the distinguished guests in recognition of their valuable contribution and guidance.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Sushmitha, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, resource persons, faculty coordinators, and students for their active participation and support.
