Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM) celebrated its Annual Sports Meet for the Academic Year 2025-26 at the PIM ground on 24th of January, 2026. Students from MBA, MCA and BBA (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) actively participated in various track and field events held as part of this sports meet.
Earlier in the day the formal inauguration of the meet took place. In his inaugural speech, chief guest Dr. Ramu L, Principal, Poornaprajna (Autonomous) college highlighted the significance of sports and physically being fit in the holistic development of students. In his presidential remarks, Director of PIM Dr. P. S. Aithal said there are a lot of takeaways for Management and IT professionals from sports; when you win, win by a big margin and when losing is inevitable, try to minimise your loss.
Physical Education Directors Mr. Sukumar and Mr. Suraj supervised various track and field events. Sports club coordinators Dr. Naveen Kumar K R and Mr. Darshan were overall in-charge of the Sports Meet. All faculty members from the department of MBA and MCA ensured smooth conduct of different events.
As India celebrates 150th year of Vande Matharam this year, to commemorate this special moment, Ms. Sharada and team sang the Vande Matharam song on this occasion.
The second year Sports Club secretaries from MBA and MCA discharged different responsibilities during the formal inauguration; Ms. Sukanya welcomed and introduced the guests, Mr. Gautam, Mr. Shri Siddi S Shetty and Ms. Mahalaxmi extended floral welcome to the guests. Mr. Gaurang proposed vote of thanks and Ms. Sahana compered the formal inaugural function.
