HR Conclave and Placement Drive
Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), Udupi, organized Poorna Udyoga Pakshika – 2025, an HR Conclave and Placement Drive on December 29th 2025, with the objective of strengthening industry–academia interface and enhancing the employability of management students. The programme provided a meaningful platform for interaction between students, industry professionals, HR practitioners, and alumni, thereby facilitating practical exposure to contemporary corporate expectations.
The event underscored PIM’s consistent emphasis on holistic student development through career-oriented initiatives, expert interaction, and structured professional learning.
The programme was jointly organized by:

- Poornaprajna Institute of Management Alumni Association
- Phronesis – The HR Club of PIM
The event was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Shivanand M. Bhandarkar, Dr. Diana Saldanha, and Mr. Venkatesh Shetty, with active support from student office bearers and volunteers, ensuring effective coordination and smooth conduct of the programme.
Inaugural Session
The programme was formally anchored by Mr. Gaurang, who ensured systematic proceedings and adherence to the schedule. The event commenced with a devotional invocation by Ms. Sharadha and Ms. Ashika, invoking blessings for the success of the conclave.
The Welcome Address was delivered by Ms. Sushmitha, who welcomed the dignitaries, resource persons, faculty members, alumni, and students, and highlighted the objectives of Poorna Udyoga Pakshika – 2025, the relevance of HR conclaves in management education, and PIM’s focus on industry readiness and ethical professionalism.
A Floral Welcome was extended to the dignitaries, followed by the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing the dissemination of knowledge and professional excellence. The programme was formally inaugurated with the Inaugural Declaration by the President, officially marking the commencement of the conclave.
Technical and Expert Sessions
A noteworthy feature of the conclave was the student-led introduction of the resource persons, which contributed to leadership development and professional exposure among students. The resource persons for the event were:

The sessions focused on contemporary HR practices, emerging talent acquisition trends, industry expectations from MBA graduates, and career preparedness. An interactive discussion followed the presentations, during which students actively engaged with the speakers on career pathways, placement strategies, interview preparedness, and skill requirements.
Felicitation and Presidential Address
As a mark of appreciation, mementos were presented to the resource persons by Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director, PIM, Udupi, in recognition of their valuable contribution. The Presidential Address emphasized the importance of industry-integrated management education, ethical leadership, adaptability, and lifelong learning.
Conclusion
The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Amulya, 2nd MBA, Section B, Student Representative of Phronesis – The HR Club, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, resource persons, faculty coordinators, organizing committees, student volunteers, and participants
Poorna Udyoga Pakshika – 2025 concluded successfully, contributing to academic enrichment, professional exposure, and strengthened industry engagement. Regular academic sessions resumed in the afternoon.
