Inauguration of MBA and MCA Classes and Orientation program at Poornaprajna Institute of Management

The orientation program titled “Poornarambha – 2025” for the new MBA and MCA students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, for the academic year 2025–26, was held on Monday, October 27, 2025, in the college premises.

Mr. M. R. Vasudeva, former Director of the Mangalore International Airport Authority, inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural address, he congratulated the students for choosing professional courses and remarked that in today’s technology-driven competitive era, it is natural for professional managers and technologists to face workplace pressure. However, he emphasized that success follows those who face such challenges with courage and perseverance, and he wished the new students success through the guidance of this institution.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. T. Prashanth Holla, Treasurer of the College Governing Council, urged the students to not only study their prescribed subjects but also to utilize the vast learning resources available online to broaden their knowledge and intellectual horizons.

The program was presided over by Dr. G. S. Chandrashekar, Secretary of the College Governing Council, who, in his presidential address, recalled the hard work that went into establishing this institution and shared the lofty vision behind its foundation. He called upon the students to shape their bright future under this guidance and assured, on behalf of the management, that every necessary facility for students’ holistic development would be provided.

Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director of the Institute, highlighted the academic progress of the college so far and shed light on various programs designed for comprehensive education of students. He extended a warm welcome to all the guests and participants. Dr. Bharath V, former Director of the Institute, symbolically welcomed the dignitaries on the dais with flower bouquets.

Dr. Bharathi Karanth, Academic Coordinator of the MBA Department, and Prof. Venugopala Rao A. S., Academic Coordinator of the MCA Department, briefed the students about their respective courses. On this occasion, the academic handbooks of MBA and MCA programs were also released.

The program began with a prayer rendered by MBA student Ms. Sharada and her team. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Naveen Kumar, faculty member of the MBA Department. The event was compered by Mr. Venkatesh Shetty, faculty of the MBA Department.
