On November 8, 2024, Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM) hosted an insightful engagement workshop titled “Navigating Workplace Expectations,” organized by the PIM Alumni Association. The event aimed to provide valuable guidance to freshers on managing workplace demands effectively, with Ms. Prathiksha Reshma Dsouza, an esteemed Cluster HR Manager at Prakash Retail Pvt. Ltd. and an alumnus of the 2020-22 batch, as the guest speaker.

The event began with an introduction of the guest by Ms. Amulya P. of 1st MBA, followed by a warm floral welcome extended by Ms. Medha Prabhu of 1st MBA. To show appreciation, Prof. Shivanand Bhandarkar, Placement Coordinator at PIM, presented Ms. Dsouza with a memento.



Ms. Dsouza conducted an engaging and interactive workshop, sharing her insights on navigating the workplace as a fresher. She covered essential topics such as starting the job search, professional etiquette, settling into the role during the first few months, overcoming imposter syndrome, maximizing growth, and the importance of seeking and acting on feedback. Her approach made these vital concepts accessible and impactful for the students.



Following the session, Prof. Diana Saldanha, Faculty Coordinator of the Alumni Association, extended her gratitude to Ms. Dsouza and everyone involved in making the event a success. The workshop was attended by first-year MBA students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff members of PIM.


Ms. Suraksha Devadiga of 1st MBA demonstrated excellent skills as the master of ceremony, ensuring the smooth flow of the event. This workshop reflected PIM’s commitment to fostering strong alumni-student connections, enriching the learning experience for current students and showcasing the achievements of its graduates.
