THE HR ROUND TABLE 2023- THE HR PRACTICES IN IT SECTOR

The HR Forum -Etica and Poornakash -The Training and Placement Cell of Poornaprajna Institute of management conducted a HR Round Table on the topic “HR Practices in IT company” on 16th May 2023 at HR discussion room for the final year HR students of the institution. Ms. Laxmi Shetty, Campus Relationship Manager, Robosoft Technology was the resource person for the session.

She explained about the common HR practices in IT company and including how company follows recruitment process, Training, Onboarding, employee engagement, performance management process and more.

She also shared 2 case studies with the students to solve, and students shared their opinion about the case study. She enlightened the student by sharing her experience in the IT industry and also spoke about the essential skills which an HR should have. She spoke about the current trends in HR and highlighted types of HR software which companies are using and importance of HR software in the company. She explained in depth about the corporate world in HR perspective and importance of HR practices in the company and their routinely challenges in the office. Students clarified their doubts, that was a very informative and interactive session.

Ms. Vaishnavi Hebbar welcomed the gathering, Ms. Pavana introduced the chief guest. Ms. Rakshitha Sherigar proposed the formal vote of thanks. Prof. Shivanand M. Bhandarkar, faculty and the Placement Coordinator of Poornakash was present during the session.

Students were delighted by the session and have shared their experience/feedback.
