PIM students attend workshop on ” Intellectual Property Rights: A Strategic Tool for Market Development” held at t Udyam Samaagam Trade Fair, National Seminar and Workshop Organised by Ministry of Micro small and Medium Enterprises Government of Karnataka

Students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management effectively participated in the Trade fair, National Seminar and Workshop “UDYAM SAMAAGAM” organised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises , Government of Karnataka on 27th  and 28th September 2019.  

The objective of holding “UDYAM SAMAAGAM” was to provide an opportunity for MSEs to showcase diversity and capabilities and bring together innovative and traditional product manufacturers from agro and rural industries and rural artisans on a common platform. 

 

On 27th September 2019, the workshop was on the topic ” Intellectual Property Rights: A Strategic Tool for Market Development”. 

The chief guest of this seminar was, the CEO of Corporation Bank Mrs. P.V Bharathi, Tulasi Rao- Export commissioner of export promotion council and Shri. T. Ramakrishna of National Law School of Indian University- Bangalore.
In the session held for the “ Intellectual property Rights- a strategic tool for market development”, which was addressed by prof.Dr. T. Ramakrishna  where he talked about the different types of IPRs and how different companies are using these rights for their protection and how different localities have right of geographical identification to protect their specialties and also talked about the importance of it and how can we be aware of our different rights and also talked about the problems in the IPR. It was really a great session where we came to know about things which were not aware of.
Many stalls of different small scale industries were exhibited where they showcased their speciality and best products.
