Extension programme : organised by Women Empowerment Cell of PIM in association with the Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Regd.

Craft does more than making a person happy. It provides certain physical benefits like stimulating the senses, lowering stress levels, strengthening hand-eye coordination; cognitive benefits like improving decision-making skills, problem-solving skills, planning comple tasks, visual- processing skills, increases attention etc; emotional benefits like opportunity to express oneself creatively, increases confidence, build perseverance and patience, appreciate completed craft etc. Considering the above benefits Women Empowerment cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management conducted a Craft Training programme to the children of members of Kanakadasa  Seva Sangha, Udupi on November 16th 2015. Childrens were taught the art of making bookmarks, puppets, origami boxes, decorative items, best out of waste etc. Dhanusha D Rao welcomed the gathering, Manasa B R proposed vote of thanks and Amulya B Shetty conducted the programme. Other members of the Cell trained the children on Craft Making. Faculty coordinator Mrs. Sujatha G L coordinated the programme.
