“Redesign Your Mind” – An Interactive Workshop by THRIVE Counselling Cell

The Counselling Cell of PIM – THRIVE, in association with the IQAC, Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, successfully organised an interactive workshop titled “Redesign Your Mind” on Friday, 9 January 2026, from 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the PV Hall, PIM. The session was exclusively conducted for 1st MBA students, with the objective of helping them understand and cope with the academic, emotional, and personal challenges of the MBA programme.

The programme began with a college prayer sung by Ms. Spoorthi 1st MBA Section A and Ms. Neha 1st MBA Section B, setting a positive and reflective tone for the session. Ms. Eshwari, 1st MBA Section A, served as the Master of Ceremonies and guided the programme smoothly.

Dr. Diana Saldanha, Faculty Coordinator of the Counselling Cell – THRIVE, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of a counselling cell in an academic institution. She emphasised THRIVE’s commitment to student well-being through continuous initiatives aimed at supporting students’ mental health, resilience, and personal growth.

The guest introduction was given by Ms. Amrutha, 1st MBA Section A, who briefly introduced the resource person and outlined her professional expertise.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Bharath, former Director of PIM, who graciously stepped in as Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director, PIM, was unavailable due to prior commitments. Dr. Bharath conveyed his best wishes for the success of the programme and appreciated the Counselling Cell’s efforts in organising such meaningful student-centric initiatives. He formally felicitated the resource person with a floral bouquet and a memento, in recognition of her valuable contribution.

The resource person, Mrs. Tanuja Maben, Director of Tanuja’s Mind Therapy and an experienced Performance Coach, Mind Trainer, and Therapist, conducted an engaging and highly interactive session. The workshop focused on mindset redesign, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and building inner strength. Through practical examples, reflective activities, and interactive discussions, she encouraged students to unlock their potential, rewire negative thinking patterns, and develop resilience to face academic and personal challenges. The session concluded with an active question-and-answer interaction, where students openly shared their concerns and gained valuable insights.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Hena, 1st MBA Section B, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, dignitaries, organisers, and participants for making the session impactful.

The session was attended by Dr. Naveen Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Bharathi Karanth, Academic Coordinator of the MBA program, along with other faculty members, whose presence added value and encouragement to the initiative.

Overall, the workshop was highly enriching and well-received by the students, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to holistic development and mental well-being alongside academic excellence.
