On 1st August 2025, The Women Empowerment cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organized a guest lecture on the Topic “HR Trends and workplace Realities” in the Seminar Hall. The event aimed to provide students with practical exposure to emerging HR trends and workplace Challenges.
The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Sparsha S Shetty, who also served as the Master of Ceremonies. Mrs. Ananya Hebbar, HR Manager at Semnox Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and a proud alumna of the Institute, was the resource person. She was warmly introduced by Ms. Manwitha. The event was successfully coordinated by Ms. Sparsha, Ms. Shreedevi, Ms. Sharada and Ms. Manwitha, under the guidance of Dr. Bharathi Karanth, who is the Faculty Coordinator of the Women Empowerment Cell.
In her talk, Mrs. Ananya Hebbar highlighted Key HR developments such as the Shift towards remote and hybrid work models, focus on employee mental health, Diversity and inclusion, and the increasing use of AI in HR processes. Her insights, drawn from real-time industry experience, offered students a clear and relatable perspective.
A Lively interactive Session followed, during which students raised questions about career opportunities, adaptability in modern workplaces, and employer expectations. The event concluded with a token of appreciation in the form of a momento, which was presented to Mrs. Ananya Hebbar by the Director, Dr. P.S. Aithal, in recognition of her valuable insights and contribution to the session. This was followed by a heartfelt Vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Shreedevi.
The Session was highly informative, encouraging students to align themselves with current industry needs and to continuously build relevant skills for future Careers.
