FAP Security

Femto Network Gateway (FNG)

Femto Network Gateway/ Packet Data Gateway is a security gateway based on 3GPP I-WLAN infrastructure specification.

  • Lead a team responsible for following BCMCS activities:
    • Designed and implemented various Managed object tables (MIBs) to support operations of BCMCS Schedules, A10 flows, BSN configuration and statistics data.
    • Enhancements to the redundancy framework for the replication of schedules, configuration framework, Data-collection and NodeManagement framework to support BCMCS.
  • Lead a team responsible for development/enhancements of various components:
    • Resource Control process, Routing End Point process, Virtual Router process, Flash partitioning, Management link redundancy, Control processor module redundancy, Upgrade/Rollback, NodeManagement ( SNMP,XML, CLI) framework, Data Collection framework, ConfigReset, CLI based config file, Management access lists

Base Station Router (BSR)

Base station Router platform incorporates RNC, RN and PDSN functionality in a single node. BSR platform is referred to as “Flat Architecture” as it essentially collapses the access network and PDSN.

  • Lead a team in re-factoring IP-RNC call-control application components on to a single card.
IP-RN 8000 & IP-RNC 8500 (CDMA2000 1xEV-DO based products)

IP-RN (Radio Node) 8000 and IP-RNC (Radio Node Controller) 8500 are network elements in IP-RAN architecture. RN8000 is a standalone EV-DO radio node that enables delivery of mobile broadband data services. RN8500 does 1xEV-DO call processing and controls radio resources on multiple RN 8000s over a high speed IP interface.

  • Designed and developed logging framework enhancements for security and activity logging.
  • Responsible for enhancements, maintenance and bug fixing of the framework components.

Broadband Access Products – 7X, 5X & 4X

5X BLC is an integrated access system combining narrow-band access networks and broadband IP networks. 4X STM-1/STM-4 is a multi service transport platform with E1, T1, E3/T3 and STM1 interfaces. It can be configured as TM/ADM to meet different topologies.

  • Responsible for software architecture, design, development and integration of different sub-systems like Configuration Management, Node Management, Performance Management, Database, TL1Agent and Infrastructure (OS Abstraction Layer).
  • Lead a team of engineers for new features development and bug fixing in the above software sub-systems.
  • Designed and developed TFTP software module.
  • Resolved memory fragmentation in the entire embedded control software, which improved software efficiency and stability drastically.
