The CSR Club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management and Poornakash -The Training and Placement cell along with Life Insurance Corporation of India, and Udupi Insurance Institute collaborated to host a seminar on career prospects in the insurance industry on February 22, 2024. The seminar took place at Prajna Auditorium and was open to both MBA and MCA students. The panel included experts from LIC of India and Udupi Insurance Institute, with Dr. Bharath V presiding over the event.
M.L. Narayan, Manager P&IR, inspired students during the session by sharing two essential success mantras: 1) utilizing common sense and 2) practising self-love, as these factors can positively impact behaviour and help in achieving aspirations. M.K Srinivas, IT Manager, discussed insurance, insurance products, and the significance of IRDA. Sri M. Srinivas, Senior Divisional Manager at United India Insurance, shed light on general insurance products and various opportunities in the field.
Sri R.K. Hegde emphasized the career prospects available in the insurance sector. Smt Shubhada, AAO at Udupi Insurance Institute, provided insights into course specifics and examination patterns related to the selection process. Jnaneswari, II MBA student, served as the Master of Ceremony, while Smt Neeraja Holla, Honorary Secretary, Udupi Brach of Insurance Institute, also coordinated the event. Navya Prabhu, Ashwini, II MBA students, conducted the invocation. The session was attended by CSR Coordinator Santhosh N Prabhu, along with all the faculty and students of PIM and Staff of LIC of India.
