The HR club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management designed an event ‘Mine-Field’ for the students of Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Trust on 6th December 2017 on PROBLEM-SOLVING.
Objective of the program:
· To identify problems in the environment.
· To generate alternatives.
· To identify a feasible solution.
Description/Report: The participants were divided into teams of 3 where one member of the team was blind-folded. The blind-folded person had to clear various barriers and obstacles and reach the end destination. The other 2 members had to stand at the destination and guide their team member to the reach the end point. Only one team out of 4 teams could clear the round and ultimately the same team was declared as the winner.
Impact on the Beneficiaries:
· The beneficiaries learnt how to solve problem solving skills using their own creativity and innovation
· They learnt to have trust on their team when they were in problem.
· The beneficiaries also learnt the importance of listening skills.
Impact on the students:
· The student co-ordinators learnt how to create obstacles, barriers and mental blocks which was must for the event.
They also found how the team members get excited and disturbed when the instructions are not followed.
