The first session of Prajna Vibhavam, a new initiative for first-year MBA students at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, took place on January 24, 2025, through GroupWise. The session aimed to foster critical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication skills, featuring engaging group discussions on several key topics.
The inaugural session provided a dynamic platform for MBA students to engage in discussions on India’s economic and educational future. The event encouraged students to collaborate, share their perspectives, and enhance their communication abilities.
The students participated in discussions on the following topics: India’s Digital Economy: Growth, Challenges, and Opportunities, Impact of New Education Policy on Higher Education, and Role of Startups in India’s Economic Growth. Each group focused on one of these themes, analyzing its impact, challenges, and potential opportunities.
Three separate groups of students participated in the discussions, with each group focusing on one of the assigned topics. The lively and informative discussions showcased the students’ critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills.
The session was observed by Director Sriramana Aithal and Emeritus Professor Dr. Krishna kothai, who provided valuable insights and feedback. The group discussions were judged by Dr. Bharath V and Prof. Santhosh. Several faculty members also attended, showing their support for student engagement and participation.
The program was successfully coordinated by first-year MBA students (B Section), Ms. Sparsha Shetty and Mr. Majunath Nayak, who played a key role in organizing and ensuring the smooth conduct of the session.
The first session of Prajna Vibhavam proved to be a success, offering students a platform to discuss important issues affecting India’s economy and education. The active participation of the students, combined with constructive feedback from the observers and judges, made the session a truly enriching experience. This marks the beginning of a series of discussions that will continue to help students develop their communication and analytical skills, laying the foundation for future sessions of Prajna Vibhavam.
