The Goodudeepa Making Competition was held on 28th of October at Poornaprajna Institue of management. The event was organised to promote understanding and appreciation of traditional practices associated with the Goodudeepa, fostering a connection to cultural heritage. It also encourages participants to express their creativity through artistic design and craftsmanship in making Goodudeepa lamps and enhances teamspirit as they collaborate in teams.
15 teams, each consisting of three members participated in the competition. As participants worked enthusiastically, the atmosphere buzzed with innovation and teamwork. A panel of two judges evaluated the creations based on originality, creativity, craftsmanship, and aesthetic appeal.
Ms. Shrinidhi Bhat, Ms. Prajna,and Ms. Chethana won the first prize and Ms. Savari, Ms. Chaitra and Ms. Bhoomika won the second prize. Cultural club of PIM organised the competition. Overall, the event successfully fostered a deeper appreciation for cultural practices among students and showcased their remarkable talents.
