The Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, hosted its grand alumni meet, Poorna Sammilana, on 22nd February 2025 at Prajna Hall. Ms. Suma from 2nd MBA served as the Master of Ceremony for the event.
The event brought together alumni from various batches, faculty members, and students to celebrate and strengthen the alumni network. The event was also live streamed on YouTube, allowing alumni from across the globe to participate virtually.
The event commenced with the college prayer rendered by the alumni members from batches 2009-11, 2018-20 and 2021-23. This was followed by a mesmerizing welcome dance performed by Ms. Keerthana from 2nd MBA.

Program Highlights:
The gathering was formally welcomed by Ms. Amulya from 2nd MBA, setting the stage for the much-awaited interactions. Mr. Himal Kumar, Student Coordinator of the Alumni Association, introduced the esteemed guests and facilitated a floral welcome for them. The Faculty Coordinator of the Alumni Association, Prof. Diana Saldanha florally welcomed the faculty members and office bearers of the alumni association.
A lamp-lighting ceremony marked the official inauguration of the event, where all dignitaries and office bearers of the alumni association joined together.
The Alumni Report was presented by the faculty coordinator, Prof. Diana Saldanha highlighting the achievements and initiatives of the alumni association over the years.
Address by Dignitaries:
The Guest of Honour, Dr. M.R. Hegde, delivered an inspiring speech, reminiscing about his journey with PIM and emphasizing the importance of alumni engagement.
This was followed by addresses from Dr. G.S. Chandrashekhar and Dr. Bharath V, both of whom shared their experiences and valuable insights on alumni contributions and institutional growth.
Mr. Umesh Bhadya also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the role of alumni in bridging the gap between academics and industry and encouraging active alumni participation in institutional development.
Felicitation Ceremony:
- M.R. Hegde felicitated distinguished alumni for their outstanding achievements.
- P.S. Aithal presented appreciation certificates to student volunteers for their dedication and contributions to the event.
Presidential Address:
The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. P.S. Aithal, who expressed gratitude to the alumni for their continued support and encouraged them to actively participate in future institutional initiatives.
Alumni Interaction:
An alumni interaction session was held, where alumni speakers shared their personal stories, experiences, and insights from their time at PIM. Their reflections inspired the students and reinforced the strong bond between alumni and their alma mater.
Vote of Thanks:
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. Medha Prabhu, Student Coordinator of the Alumni Association, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, alumni, faculty members, and students for making the event a grand success.
The alumni meet was a resounding success, fostering stronger connections among alumni and reinforcing their role in the growth and success of Poornaprajna Institute of Management. The institution looks forward to more such gatherings, strengthening the alumni network further.
