Yuva Prajna -2025: Youth Voice of PIM, Union Budget Analysis-2025 Student Panel Discussion

The Finance Forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management successfully organized “Yuva Prajna 2025 – Youth Voice of PIM: Union Budget 2025-26”, an insightful event aimed at analyzing and discussing the key aspects of the Union Budget 2025-26. The program provided a platform for MBA students to engage in critical discussions on the budget’s economic implications, sectoral impacts, and financial policies. Through expert insights and student-led discussions, the event fostered a deeper understanding of fiscal policies and their role in shaping the nation’s economy.

The event was skillfully hosted by MC Shivani, ensuring smooth transitions between sessions, while Moderator Sharoon facilitated the discussions, keeping the conversations engaging and insightful.

Opening Ceremony

The event commenced with the escort of guests onto the dais, followed by a prayer by Shrinidhi Bhat and Team, setting a positive tone for the discussions ahead.

Inauguration of the Finance Forum: The lighting of the lamp marked the official inauguration of the Finance Forum, symbolizing the quest for knowledge and wisdom.

Release of ‘Arthaprajna’ Finance Weekly Bulletin: A key initiative to keep students updated on financial and economic developments.

  1. Chief Guest’s Address & Panel Discussion

Chief Guest’s Address: Mr. CA Lokesh Shetty, renowned chartered accountant of Udupi was the resource person for the session.  The Chief Guest provided an insightful overview of the Union Budget 2025-26, discussing its fiscal priorities, economic reforms, and financial strategies.

Offering of Memento: A token of appreciation was presented to the Chief Guest by Dr. Bharath.

Panel Discussion by Students : Moderator Sharoon led the discussion, ensuring interactive participation and in-depth analysis on key themes of the budget, including its impact on different sectors and policy recommendations.

  7. Agriculture & Rural Development – Nandini evaluated budgetary provisions for rural growth.
  8. Financial Sector Reforms – Shrilaxmi presented major policy changes in banking and finance.
  9. Sustainability & Green Economy – Sameeksha addressed environmental initiatives and green policies.
  10. MSME & Startup Ecosystem – Vaishak assessed the budget’s impact on small businesses and startups.
  11. Impact on Different Sectors – Samiksha Shetty provided an overview of sector-wise implications.

Closing Ceremony

Presidential Address: Dr. Bharath V summarized the discussions and highlighted key takeaways from the event.

 Feedback Session: Prof. Krishna Kothai and Dr. Vinay Prabhu shared their insights and constructive feedback on the session.
