Transforming Management Practices: A Guest Lecture on AI and Neuro-Perspectives”

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organized a guest lecture series on 18th October, focusing on cutting-edge topics in management: Artificial Intelligence and Neuro-Management. The session featured two distinguished speakers, Prof. (Dr.) S. Sandhya and Prof. (Dr.) J. Satpathy, both highly regarded in their respective fields.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Shivani, a first-year MBA student who served as the Master of Ceremony. The dignitaries were escorted to the dais, followed by a prayer to set a positive tone for the session. The event’s structure was as follows:

Mr. Aditya warmly welcomed all the guests and attendees, setting a positive tone for the event. Ms. Susmitha introduced the first speaker, Prof. (Dr.) S. Sandhya, Head of Research at NITTE School of Management, who delivered a compelling talk on “AI in Action: Driving Efficiency and Competitive Advantage in Management,” emphasizing AI’s transformative role in enhancing operational efficiency and creating a competitive edge in business. Following this, Ms. Nandini introduced the second speaker, Prof. (Dr.) J. Satpathy, a veteran Army Faculty with extensive academic experience, who presented on “Exploring Neuro-Perspectives in Management.” His lecture offered fascinating insights into how neuroscience and human cognition influence decision-making and leadership in organizations.

The session also featured an address by Dr. P. S. Aithal, Director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, who praised the resource persons for their insightful presentations and encouraged students to apply the concepts in their academic and professional journeys. As a gesture of gratitude, Dr. Aithal presented mementos to the guest speakers. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Apeksha, who expressed appreciation to the resource persons, the Director, faculty members, and students for their participation and support in making the event a success.The guest lecture was an enlightening session that provided the audience with in-depth knowledge on how emerging technologies like AI and insights from neuroscience can revolutionize management practices. The event concluded with appreciation for the guest speakers and organizers, leaving the attendees with valuable takeaways for their future academic and professional endeavors​.  Dr. Bharathi Karanth , academic coordinator of the MBA programme coordinated this guest lecture programme.
