On July 19, 2024, the Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM), Udupi, held an enlightening and interactive session on “Level Up Your MBA with Artificial Intelligence,” organized by the PIM Alumni Association. The event took place from 12 PM to 1 PM in the 2nd MBA Classroom. The session featured Dr. Vrinda Acharya, an Assistant Professor at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education and an esteemed alumnus of PIM, as the resource person.
The event commenced with the Master of Ceremony, Ms. Navya Prabhu of 2nd MBA, gracefully guiding the proceedings. Ms. Sharanya, also from 2nd MBA, delivered the welcome speech, setting a warm and enthusiastic tone for the event. Following the welcome speech, Mr. Rahul, another student of 2nd MBA, introduced Dr. Vrinda Acharya to the gathering. In a gesture of honour and appreciation, Mr. Shivanand Bhandarkar, the Placement Coordinator of Poornakash, the training and placement cell of PIM, offered a floral welcome to Dr. Acharya.
Dr. Vrinda Acharya, currently an Assistant Professor at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, shared her extensive knowledge and insights on various AI tools. She provided an in-depth overview of tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Co-pilot, Designer (Microsoft PowerPoint), Analyse Data (Microsoft Excel), and Quillbot.com. Her session was highly engaging and interactive, as she addressed numerous student concerns, apprehensions, and queries about the AI tools, emphasizing their effective use in academic pursuits.
Throughout her presentation, Dr. Acharya highlighted the transformative potential of AI in enhancing the learning experience and productivity of MBA students. She demonstrated practical applications of these tools, showcasing how they can assist in research, presentations, data analysis, and writing.
