The Research Cell of PIM conducted a Minor Research Project Presentation at Prajna Hall today. Second-year students were divided into 12 groups of 5 students each. They were encouraged to take up research topics of business and social significance. The objectives of the minor research projects were to make students aware of various business problems and understand the opinions and perceptions of businessmen or entrepreneurs in light of changing business scenarios, considering global and domestic developments, technology advancements, and socio-political changes. Another objective was to develop analytical and research skills among the students by applying the knowledge they had acquired in the Business Research Methods course.
The Research Cell had organized an SPSS/PSPP training program for the students, who then applied several statistical techniques and tools to analyze business data. Each group prepared a rough draft of their presentation along with a PowerPoint presentation. They were given 10 minutes for their presentations and 5 minutes for question-and-answer sessions.
Dr. Bharath V, the research coordinator of the institute, and Dr. Naveen Kumar KR served as judges for the program. Dr. Sreeramana Aithal, Director of PIM, presided over the event, attended the presentations, and provided valuable guidance and feedback to the students.
