MBA students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management undertook the promotion of national arts and culture. Students divided themselves into different groups and created awareness about the importance of the protection of local arts and culture. They distributed posters of  Prajna Handicrafts Mela which is scheduled to be held on 14th to 17th January 2023, in the Poornaprajna Campus, and pasted them on the walls of business establishments of Udupi where people would be meeting in large numbers.
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM) embarked on a commendable initiative to promote and raise awareness about Indian artisans, handicrafts, and cultural heritage. MBA students at PIM took up the responsibility of championing the cause of national arts and culture through various activities.
To kickstart this initiative, students organized themselves into different groups, each dedicated to specific aspects of the promotion of local arts and culture. The primary focus was on creating awareness about the significance of preserving and supporting indigenous arts and crafts. To achieve this, the students strategically distributed eye-catching posters promoting the “Prajna Handicrafts Mela,” scheduled to take place from January 14th to 17th, 2023, within the Poornaprajna Campus.
Taking the campaign beyond the campus boundaries, the students also engaged with the local community in Udupi. They strategically placed posters in prominent business establishments and community hubs, where a large number of people gathered. This proactive approach aimed to capture the attention of the public and generate interest in the upcoming handicrafts fair.
By pasting these posters on the walls of businesses in Udupi, the students not only increased the visibility of the Prajna Handicrafts Mela but also sparked conversations about the importance of supporting local artisans. The strategic placement of promotional materials in high-traffic areas ensured that the message reached a diverse and broad audience.
The efforts of the MBA students from PIM in creating awareness and promoting the rich tapestry of Indian arts and culture are commendable. By organizing and participating in activities such as these, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell at PIM plays a pivotal role in fostering a sense of responsibility toward the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage. The upcoming Prajna Handicrafts Mela is poised to be a significant event, contributing to the sustained growth and recognition of Indian artisans and their crafts. Students engaged in this activity for two days 12th and 13th January 2023
