Management Role-play on the topic group dynamics in the workplaces

On April 30th, 2024, the Human Rights Cell of PIM organized a workshop showcasing the nuances of “Group Dynamics in the Workplace,” featuring the second series of twofold management role-plays. The event was held from 12 pm to 1 pm in the Prajna Vaibhavam (PV) Hall.

Mr. Anil Kumar V Shankarpura, a well-known theatre artist and award winning poet graced the occasion as the chief guest, alongside Dr. Bharath V, Director of PIM, who presided over the function.

Ms. Medha Prabhu and Mr. Himal Kumar, both students of first year MBA section A were the masters of ceremony for the program. Mr. Swaroop Naik from first year MBA Section B delivered the welcome speech, Ms. Srinidhi (I MBA Section B) introduced the distinguished guest, followed by a ceremonial floral welcome by Dr. Naveen Kumar, the IQAC co-ordinator of PIM.

Mr. Anil Kumar V Shankarpura, the chief guest for the event and Prof. Diana Saldanha the co-ordinator of the human rights cell undertook the pivotal role of adjudicators for the student-performed role-plays. MBA Section A students presented “Role of Leadership in Organization,” while MBA Section B students delivered “Differing Leadership Styles.” Subsequently, individual feedback sessions delved into students’ problem-solving skills, overall presentation and soft skills.

Mr. Anil Kumar V Shankarpura, a renowned Kannada poet, actor and director celebrated for his contributions to theatre, initially addressed the gathering and discussed the importance of theatre in enhancing communication skills. He later generously shared his insights with the students after the role-play session. This was complemented by the presidential remarks from Dr. Bharath V. The event culminated with the presentation of a memento to the chief guest, symbolizing gratitude for his presence and wisdom.

Ms. Vaishnavi Ganiga of first year MBA section A extended a formal vote of thanks. The event was attended by the students and faculty of MBA and MCA programs of PIM along with the members of the non-teaching staff.
