Self-employment is considered a pivotal catalyst for national progress, as emphasized by Mr. Purushottam Adve, an esteemed artist associated with Prachi Foundation Udupi. The significance of entrepreneurship was further underscored by Mr. Purushottam Kamath, a distinguished Social Media Entrepreneur, during an enlightening session with students.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Purushottam Adve urged students to identify prevalent societal needs and endeavour to provide innovative solutions. He underscored the importance of maintaining a clean environment, ensuring access to pure water, and fostering a fresh atmosphere. Stressing the critical role of ecological balance for survival, he advocated for prioritizing natural, high-quality food. Mr. Adve shared insights into his entrepreneurial venture, “Samparpan,” which focuses on promoting chemical-free organic foods sourced from local suppliers.
Mr. Manjunath Kamath, adding his perspective on entrepreneurship, highlighted the crucial role passion plays in pursuing one’s dreams. He shared his journey, emphasizing the fulfillment derived from following one’s passion, even if it means remaining in one’s hometown. Mr. Kamath recounted the sacrifices he made by forgoing job opportunities outside his home turf, underscoring the internal satisfaction derived from pursuing his aspirations.
This entrepreneurship-focused program took place on January 12, 2024, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of PIM. Dr. Bharathi Karanth coordinated the program, and the event witnessed the presence of Dr. Sukanya Mary, Principal of Poornaprajna Evening College. Dr. Bharath V presided over the program, which saw enthusiastic participation from MBA and MCom students.
