Finspark2k23, the highly anticipated intra-collegiate Finance fest organized by the Finance Forum, unfolded on the 11th of July 2023 at Prajna Hall. Aimed at engaging first-year MBA students and those specializing in other fields in their second year, the event showcased the vibrant and dynamic spirit of the Finance forum.
The Finance Forum, led by student representatives, boasted a dedicated team, including Mr. Sumanth as President, Ms. Vijayalakshmi as Vice President, Mr. Savin S Kumar, Ms. Srinidhi Bhat, and Mr. Poornesh as the Secretary, along with joint secretaries contributing to the fest’s success.
The fest featured a series of engaging competitions, including quizzes, bidding challenges, and case study analyses. The participants, divided into groups with unique names, displayed enthusiasm and active involvement in all events. A warm welcome, marked by a delightful dance performance, set the tone for the festivities. The stage was adorned with professional decor, including rangolis and flower arrangements, creating a festive ambiance.
The meticulous planning and execution by the finance students, who were strategically assigned different tasks, reflected their commitment and professionalism. Various rounds were allocated to different student groups, showcasing their organizational prowess. Faculty members actively participated, with students judging events that involved meticulous procedures such as answer sheet collection and tallying.
The formal stage program marked the conclusion of the fest, with Mr. Divakar Shetty, a renowned auditor and tax practitioner, gracing the occasion as the guest of honor. The esteemed presence of Dr. Krishna Kothai, Dr. Bharath V, and Dr. Bharathi Karanth, along with student representatives Mr. Sumanth and Ms. Vijayalakshmi, added prestige to the event. Mr. Divakar Shetty shared valuable advice, encouraging students to concentrate on their studies, cultivate reading habit, and remain focused on achieving their goals.
The crowning moment of the fest was the announcement of winners, with the 2nd MBA group led by Ms. Deeksha emerging as champions and the first-year students securing the runners-up position. The program concluded on a high note with a gracious vote of thanks by Mr. Sumanth. Mr. Savin S Kumar skillfully managed the stage program as the Master of Ceremony, while Ms. Primal extended a warm welcome to the gathering.
