Workshop on “Adding Value to your MBA course” by Dr. Sudhir M, Professor, JKSHIM, Nitte

Placement Cell of PIM conducted a workshop on the theme “Adding Value to Your MBA” on 12th April 2023 at Prajna Hall for the first year MBA students of the institution.  Dr. Sudhir M, Professor, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte was the resource person for the workshop. 

Dr. Sudhir M enlightened the students about the importance of MBA Programme and the intense competition that exists in the field of education, where crores of MBA graduates enter into the corporate world every year.  He stressed upon the need to add value to their MBA degree and make themselves valuable for the employers.  He highlighted that possessing a Right Attitude is more important than having academic intelligence.  Right attitude, coupled with good communication skills, ability to learn new skills would be determining the placement opportunities for the students.  He explained in depth about the etiquettes, mannerisms, ABC’s of Communication, right dressing style for both male and female students pursuing MBA education.  Professor Sudhir presented before students, number of illustrations of students who became successful with a right mixture of both academic knowledge and soft skills.  He also illustrated that learning is more important than studying with appropriate examples of students placed in the corporate world. 

            His eloquent lecture was followed by interaction of the students who sought advice from him about upgrading themselves and adding values to their MBA degree. This scholarly talk was well attended and appreciated by all students of first year MBA and faculty members.   Ms. Maria Carol D’Souza student of first year MBA was the master of ceremony. Ms. Anisha Sharal D’Mello welcomed the gathering, Ms. Deepthi Mendon introduced the chief guest.  Mr. Akash Shetty proposed formal vote of thanks.  The programme was presided over by Dr. Bharath V, Director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management. Dr. Bharathi Karanth coordinated the programme.
