A rally to promote Diabetes awareness was organised by Adarsha Hospital in association with Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Department of Health and Family Welfare, National Health Campaign at Ajjarakadu Udupi on 12th November 2019. . CSR club of PIM took the lead in this societal engagement programme which focused on the creation of Diabetes Awareness. . 60 students of both first and second year MBA participated in the Diabetes awareness camp along with the Director of the institution Dr. Bharath V , CSR club staff coordinator Mr. Santhosh N Prabhu and Mr.Shivanand Bhandarkar, the placement officer and faculty member of PIM. Students prepared slogans about the importance of maintain good health and made efforts to create health awareness. Medical Director of Adarsha Hospital Dr.G.S.Chandrashekar, who was instrumental in organising the rally , informed about the proper diet and lifestyles to be maintained to have robust health for all. Udupi Superintendent of Police Nisha James, emphasized that daily exercise, diet and regular health checks are vital to control diabetes. Mr. A K Raghupathi Bhat , the MLA of Udupi highlighted that adjustment to lifestyles helps to control diabetes. The Jatha was flagged off at Ajjarkadu, passed through Jodukatte, Diana Circle, K.M.Road, and culminated at Adarsha Hospital. PIM students took special efforts to explain to the people about better lifestyles and diets.
