ORIENTATION PROGRAMME AT PIM

Induction Programme for the newly inducted MBA students was conducted on 3rd October 2019 . His Holiness Shri Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji, the President of Udupi Sri Admar Mutt Education Council and the Chairman of Poornaprajna Group of Institutions inaugurated the first year MBA classess and blessed the students with bright future.
His Holiness Swamiji began his speech with the explanation of the meaning of the prayer that is recited at PIM .

Mantras from the Upanishads are designed to invoke certain feelings in the person who chants it. This mantra is designed to invoke the feelings of poorna – which in English means infinite, limitless, full, whole and complete. The meaning of the shloka is as follows:
Everything in this universe is complete and infinite.
Anything created out of something that is complete is also complete.
When something is removed from this infinite universe, infinity still remains.

His Holiness stated that the shloka is drawn from the Upanishads and it has universal applicability. The prayer encourages a better learning atmosphere and motivates both the teachers and the students. So it can be recited by any student irrespective of their religious belonging he stated.
Dr.G.S.Chandrashekar, the Honourable Secretary of the Governing Council of PIM retierated that PIM stands for quality and value based management education. It’s evident from the fact that PIM has secured A+ grade with 3.32 CGPA in the recently concluded assessment carried out by the National Assessment Accreditation Council. The management and teachers of the institution are bent upon securing the welfare of the students through their innovative and progressive outlook he stated.
Dr.M.R.Hegde the former Director of PIM who is also the Joint Secretary of the Governing Council of PIM stated that parents need to cooperate with the management in the growth and development of their wards and thereby be partners in progress.
Dr. Bharath V, the Director of PIM informed the audience about the various development initiatives taken up by PIM to promote academic excellence of the students.
Dr.Krishna Kothai, Professor Emeritus and Coordinator of the research wing of PIM, PCRD, Dean Dr.Sureshramana Mayya, all the teaching and non-teaching staff, students of 1st year MBA along with their parents witnessed the programme which was concluded with the gathering receiving the blessings of Swamiji. Fruits were distributed to everyone attending the programme and also to the second-year MBA students.
The induction programme was conducted by the second-year MBA students with the guidance of the faculty coordinator Dr.Bharathi Karanth. Ms.Fiona Rodrigues was the master of ceremony. Ms.Sana Parveen welcomed the gathering and Ms.Prajna Goli proposed a formal vote of thanks. Prayer team consisting of Suparna, Canis Crystal Mathais was led by Ms.Abja of 2nd year MBA. Mr. Harshith and Mr.Shubhangha joined Abja and Suparna in reciting the ‘Deepa Shloka’ while lighting the lamp was done by His Holiness Swamiji.
The Class Representative of 2nd Year MBA Mr.Rajath Krishna Kini was the overall student co-ordinator for the programme.
