A two day Industrial visit to Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd., Kaiga was conducted on 4th & 5th of April 2019 for the students of II MBA. The aim of the industrial visit was to get the students exposed to industry practices and applications which would help them to become pragmatic and effective managers.
A total of 48 students along with Faculty Co-coordinators Mr. Joe Ashwin Correa & Mrs. Sujatha G.L. were part of the Industrial Visit.
The visit started with a detailed explanation of the plant layout through a 3D model by Mr. Aldrin D’souza, P.R.O., which was very interesting and educative.
This was followed by a Presentation by Deputy Manager -HR Mr. Jegan J. who briefed the students on current HR practices and the relevance of the same during the recruitment process in any organization.
He also explained different types of Appraisal mechanisms and briefed about the appraisal system followed at Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.
The session continued with Technical presentation from Mr.UPS Kumar, who gave an elaborate detail of the production process. He also clarified the various queries that students posted before him. The session concluded with inputs from Finance manager who gave an overview of financial activities in Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.
Later the students were taken to the Simulation center where they were briefed about the operations of the Nuclear plant.
As a noble gesture a lunch was arranged at The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. canteen, for all the students and Faculty.
