Poornaprajna Institute of Management was witness to a very fruitful symposium on the theme “”Banking for the Rural Poor” on April 8th 2019 at Prajna Hall.. Dr. N.K.Tingalaya Memorial National conference was co-sponsored by Syndicate Bank . The programme was organised in association with the economics department of Poornaprajna College. His holiness Shri Shri Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji inagurated the conference. Prof.Bhaskar Hande spoke about the importance of reaching the poor. Dr. H.H.Joshi, Dr.N.S. Shetty, were the other eminent resource persons who enlightened the audience. Professor Emeritus Dr.Krishna Kothai ,who is the co-ordinator of the Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development took up a session on the topic Rural banking .
