As always said and remembered the very best two days of college life are the first and the last day. Aarambh-2018 – A Fresher’s Day programme was organised for the new bunch of I year MBAs at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi. This special day was held on 23rd of October from 2:00 pm onwards at Prajna Hall. The program was held under the banner of The Human Resource Club- ETICA which was kept as a surprise element to the I year MBA students. The whole event was coordinated by the II year MBA students from all the three specializations, greatly and exclusively with the kind support of all the teaching and non-teaching faculties of the institution.
To begin with Anusha Salian, Alvina Andrade, Mahima Deshpande and Roshni Quadras initiated the program proceedings and divided the participants from I year MBA into 6 teams for the following rounds :
- Ratatouille
- Maze runner
- Mime time
- Ghajini
- 3 Idiots
- In time
Ms.Jackline Nikitha conducted spot games in between and kept the audience alive and involved.
Just before the valedictory function, as a token of remembrance the Second year MBA batch of 2017-19 sponsored a rolling trophy for the event which will be utilized by all the consecutive batches while conducting Aarambh.
The Programme was attended by all the I and the second-year students along with all the teaching and non-teaching staff. Director Dr. Bharath V. presided the programme along with Prof.Emeritus Dr. Krishna Kothaya and Dean Dr. Sureshramana Mayya.
The program was an attempt to impart the team spirit in the new batch and to help them interact with each other so as to have a strong bonding.
All the memories of this special beginnings were captured by Trivikram Nayak and Suraj Shetty of II MBA.
The hall was decorated by the II year students with attractive crafts and certain other ideas.
Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the games. Hand-made Bookmarks were presented to all the first-year students as a token of love and gratitude.
Finally, the programme was concluded with a formal session wherein the II years’ students proposed the vote of thanks with a thanksgiving song.
The winners for Aarambh-2018 were Team- “TIPS”. All the students participated boldly and enthusiastically and further gave their feedbacks. In the end, to make the journey as “Shubh-Aarambh” refreshments were provided to share the happiness to the whole institution.
