Students of Poornaprajna Institute of management will be able to get not just an MBA degree, but will also be equipped with skills to achieve success in both their personal and professional lives said Dr Chandrashekar, the secretary of the governing council of Poornaprajna Institute of Management and the medical director of the reputed Adarsha Hospital Udupi. He was inaugurating the induction programme for the first year MBA students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management. PIM is bent upon providing the value based quality education to students, and it expects the students to contribute to the society in the best manner possible said the former director Dr.M.R.hegde on this occasion. The orientation programme was presided over by Dr.Bharath V, the director of PIM. He enlightened the new students and parents about the infrastructure of the institute, facilities offered for the development of the students and also the rules and regulations of the institution. Dr.Krishna Kothai the co-ordinator of Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development, Dr.Sureshramana mayya, the dean of PIM, all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution along with the first year students and their parents were witness to the induction programme of PIM.
The programme began with the welcome dance by Ms.Sahana Rai, the second year student of MBA who is a classical dancer with Vvidwath degree in Bharatanatyam. The formal stage programme began with the rendering of invocation by Ms.Shwetha, Saniha and Mahima, the second year MBA students. Mr.Varun Devadiga welcomed the gathering, Ms.jackeline Nikitha delivered the vote of thanks, and Ms.Krithika Bangera compered the programme. Second year students had decorated the first year class and welcomed the first year students wholeheartedly.
After the formal programme students were taken to the library and the computer lab. Ms.Anusha enlightened the students about the usage of the library and explained the dos and don’t in the usage of library facilities. Mr.Santhosh Prabhu, the faculty in charge of the computer department of the organisation, explained the students about the necessity of possessing expertise in computer skills in the path of achieving excellence. Meanwhile, the parents and teachers met again at Prajna hall. The discussion between the parents and teachers led to much clarification of doubts in the minds of parents about the institution. Later tea and snacks were served to all.
