IQAC Proceedings: Meeting on Thursday 2nd  July 2015

A meeting was conducted at the Institute on Thursday 2nd July, 2015 to discuss the items of the agenda given. Members present at the meeting are:

Proceedings and Resolution:


 The resolutions passed in the previous IQAC meeting held on 8th January, 2015 was presented in the meeting by the IQAC Coordinator.
  1. Resolved unanimously to approve the resolutions of the previous IQAC meeting held on 8th January 2015
  2. Members discussed the need to have longer back up for the computer systems at the institute, to have new and better scanner, to have additional desktops and to purchase a new projector.
  3. Resolved to replace the existing old batteries, to purchase new scanner, desktop computers and a projector.
  4. Members discussed the need to have additional books, journals, and e-journals for the Institute’s library for the academic year 2015-16.
  5. Resolved to purchase additional books and to subscribe journals and e-journals for the library in consultation with the faculties
  6. Members present discussed the need to enhance the employability of the students by having more and guest lecture series.
  7. Resolved to have series of guest lectures on regular basis with resource persons from different areas
 

Action taken report for the IQAC meeting held on Thursday 2nd July, 2015

1. To replace the old batteries, to purchase a new scanner, computers and a projector 20 new batteries purchased for UPS, a new HP Scannerjet 200 (scanner), six new desktop computers, and a new Epson Projector purchased
2 To purchase additional books and to subscribe journals and e-journals for the Institute’s library Books, journals and e-journals worth more than Rs.2,40,000 have been purchased/subscribed for the Institute’s library
3 To have a series of guest lectures on a regular basis Series of guest lectures on different topics like ‘Personality Empowerment’, ‘Investment Basics and Stock Selection using Fundamental Analysis’, ‘Over Leveraging and Toxic balance Sheet’, ‘Lets Talk Telecom wrt Time management’ etc are held

  3. Members appreciated the efforts of the Director and the Faculties in their efforts in taking the Institute to next level. Members also opined that the same efforts to be continued in future also.
  4. Resolved that the series of guest lectures on different areas to be continued
  5. Members discussed about the academic activities to be conducted during the semester for the benefits of the students
  6. Resolved to conduct various activities for the students during the second/fourth semester

2 To conduct activities for the second/fourth semester students Competitions under various clubs/associations are held for the students; indoor sports activities are held in the month of April for one week after regular class hours; one-day outdoor sports meet is held for various on-field events; Sharada Pooja and Cultural Day are celebrated and winners in various competitions are duly felicitated
