MANUVIKASA – THE HUMAN RIGHTS CELL OF PIM

Human rights are defined as standards that allow people to live with dignity, freedom, equality, justice and peace.  Every individual has human rights for the simple reason that whatever a person is in life he is a human being first.  Understanding of human rights gives the people the freedom to choose the ways of living, the ways of expressing themselves etc. The knowledge of human rights eliminates discriminations based on race, colour, sex, language, religion etc. It contributes to the all-round development of individuals and results in a healthy society.

‘Manuvikasa’ the Human Rights Cell of PIM is established with this primary objective of development of every student of PIM as a ‘HUMAN’ First and anything else later.
